Approach: Legacy

LVC Consulting founder, Mark Oakeson, is more than a follower of lean principles; he has been integrally involved since the emergence of the field. He was mentored by Messrs. Ohno and Shingo who originated the famed Toyota Production System (TPS), and he worked for over fifteen years with Messrs. Nakao and Iwata of the Japanese consulting company Shingijutsu, a global leader in TPS implementation. From 1986 to 1990, Mr. Oakeson led study missions to over 100 Japanese plants to study lean principles in action.

Today, LVC continues to build on the founding principles of TPS—evolving them into an enterprise-wide lean business model.
